For civil contractors and subcontractors
Know where your project margin is going.
CivilMargin compares your BOQ, measurement book, bills, supplier quotes, material issues, variations and cash flow — from the spreadsheets and PDFs you already have — and shows exactly where money may be leaking, with the calculation behind every number.
No card required. Works with Excel, PDFs and your existing accounting software.

From your files to clear decisions
- Step 1
Bring what you have
Import your BOQ and cost sheets from Excel or CSV with column mapping, or upload supplier bills as PDFs. Nothing needs re-typing into a new ERP.
- Step 2
Let the checks run
Fixed, explainable rules compare BOQ, measurement book, bills, quotes, materials and cash. Each finding shows the formula and the records behind it.
- Step 3
Review and decide
Your team confirms, resolves or dismisses with a reason. Approvals, RA bill drafts and exports keep a full audit trail.

Questions contractors ask
Straight answers about how CivilMargin fits into your office.
- Do I have to stop using Tally, Zoho or Excel?
- No. CivilMargin sits alongside your accounting software. Bring data in from spreadsheets and export vouchers back as Tally-friendly XML or CSV.
- Does a finding mean someone made a mistake or committed fraud?
- No. A finding is a prompt to check something — for example two bills with the same number, or cement issued above the allowance. Many have ordinary explanations. You record the outcome and the reason.
- Is AI required?
- No. Spreadsheets, manual entry and searchable PDFs work without it. If your administrator adds an OpenAI or Anthropic API key, scanned bills can be read too, and the result still waits for human review.
- Will you keep my original PDFs?
- Not by default. Files are processed and discarded; only the values you confirm are stored. Retaining originals is optional and needs file storage to be configured.
- Can site engineers see every project?
- Only if you allow it. Project Managers, QS/Accounts and Viewers see only the projects assigned to them, and this is enforced on the server.
- Is the RA bill ready to submit to the client?
- It is a draft for internal review. Contract terms, tax treatment and certifications must be checked by your engineer or QS before anything is submitted.
Your records stay yours
Each company is isolated on the server, roles decide who sees which projects, originals are not kept unless you choose to, and every approval, import and export is logged. How we handle data.
